Ifeanyi Ubah:

Where is Ifeanyi Ubah?

There is a strong indication that oil mogul and main Financier of the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN), Mr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has gone underground.

Ubah whose company, Capital Oil is allegedly a major beneficiary of controversial Kerosene subsidy payments has not made any statements since April 11th, 2015 when the Gubernatorial elections unfolded in some states in Nigeria.

Our reporters who have been dispatched around Lagos to search for Ubah, who made a failed bid to be Governor of his native Anambra State, have so far been fruitless. We have tracked Ubah to his office in Apapa, Lagos and his home, he has not been sighted.

We called his number just before going to press and it rang out many times, this is a pointer to the fact that he does not want to speak to anybody or he is simply dropping out of public glare.

Ubah, whose company was taken over and ran for 17 months by the Asset Management Company of Nigeria ( AMCON ) following his indebtedness to Access Bank to a tune of 16 billion, had openly boasted to Nigerians that he had 12 million Transformation Ambassadors who had signed up under him and were ready to vote for President Jonathan  at the just-concluded Presidential elections, may just be licking his wounds after his party’s loss.

He also played a major role in the PDP political adventure in Lagos where Mr. Jimi Agbaje battled with APC’s Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode. Infact, a day to the April 11th, 2015 Gubernatorial polls, Ubah had a private meeting with Mr. President on the “Capture Lagos Project”. The result of that meeting is now history as Mr. Ambode has been issued a Certificate of Return as Governor-elect.

His team had issued a release that his involvement had helped PDP made significant gains in Lagos, and that the party now had a foundation to build on, but many believe that in comparison to the billions spent, it was a tiny return.

Where ever he is at the moment, we are sure that Ubah who now has a Nigeria Premier League, side, Ifeanyi Uba United will be spending the next few weeks cleaning up the streets of the posters, banners and other presidential campaign materials that his TAN deployed across the nation, following a recent directive by his main man, President Goodluck Jonathan.
