TOP LAWYER, ALEX IZIYON, LOSES WIFE IN UK

Mrs. Grace Oluwayemisi Iziyon, wife of Dr. Alex Iziyon, one of Nigeria’s most prominent lawyers is dead. She died at the age of 54 after months of sickness in the UK-and the family has been thrown into mourning.

The Mother of six children, who herself was a lawyer, teacher and writer died so suddenly that her husband has been grief sticken ever since.
In an emotional obituary, Dr. Iziyon wrote“with total submission to the will of the Almighty God, I announce the passing and sudden painful death of my dear wife, mother of my children and friend Mrs. Grace Oluwayemisi Izinyon”.
; “You left in a sudden twist and staccato indescribable. I am proud of you that we laboured through thick and thin but you left without reaping the fruits. I still love you but God loves you the better. Rest in our Lord’s bosom, till we see you on the resurrection morning.”
The departed’s journey to greater glory will begin with a commendation service on Saturday, April 19th, 2014 at Wilton Hall, Wilton Avenue, Bletchley, Milton Keyes, UK.
On Friday, April 25th from 9-11am, there will be another commendation service in Nigeria at the National Christian Centre, Abuja before her remains will head to Eguare-Ebelle, Igueben, Edo State for burial.
Grace Yemisi Izinyon was a professional teacher and a trained lawyer. She had her first degree in Education (BA.Ed) from the University of Ilorin in 1991 and a master degree in personnel psychology (M.P.P) from the University of Ibadan in 1997.
After teaching for many years, she proceeded to the University of Buckingham, England, where she obtained’ her LLB in 2002. She had her LLM in 2004 from Oxford Brookes University Oxford England.
The late Mrs. Izinyon then went to the Nigerian Law school in 2004 for the Bar parts one and two and finished in 2005 whereupon she was admitted and called to the prestigious Nigerian bar in November 2005 and practiced. Her book, a biography of her husband, The Transmutation of a Legal Genuis:The Story of Dr. Alex Aigbe Izinyon (SAN) was well received in the legal circles.
Apart from her husband, she is survived by Miss Winner Izinyon (Geneva), Mr Alex Izinyon (II) (London), Miss Praise Izinyon (Surrey), Master David Izinyon (Surrey), Miss Grace Izinyon (Thornton), Miss Alexis Izinyon (Thornton), her parents : Chief and Mrs M. Adeyinka and Father in-law, Pa S. Izinyon
