World No.1 female Tennis player, Serena Williams showed her class today when she beat German, Angelique Kebber to win Wimbledon 2016.

Serena who was business like from the get go served first and never gave her opponent any chance.

Kebber who had beaten Serena at the Australian Open earlier in the year also brought her A game but it seemed not to be enough.

Serena’s serve which is regarded as the most lethal weapon in female tennis, came into fore as she hit many aces.It was in the 11th game that she was able to break Kebber and won the first set 7-5.

The second set was also very exciting and both women wowed the Centre Court audience which included Jay Z, Beyonce and Billy Jean King.

Both women held serve but things became interesting when Kebber for the first time in the match fought her way to breakpoint in the seventh game.Serena served three aces to win that game and went into the lead 4-3.

Maybe due to the disappointment of the previous game, Kebber faltered and Serena got an important break 3-5 that game sent the audience into a roar.

Minutes later, Serena stepped up to serve for her seventh Wimbledon title, she was crisp and efficient, showing her opponent no mercy.

Two aces, two unreturned serves and a forehand slam won her the title and her 22nd Grand Slam crown.

An elated Serena collapsed on the grass in ecstatic joy as the magnitude of her achievement hit her.

Later, she thanked Jehova God for her success and also had kind words for Kebber and her team.

She promised the audience to be back next year-and from the way she played today, no one can bet against her making it Wimbledon Number 8!
