Leeds United Sacks Keeper For Being Born On The 17th

In what will certainly enter the Guinness Book of Records, Leeds United’s new owner Massimo Cellino has instructed his coaching staff to terminate the contract of goalkeeper Paddy Kenny – because of his date of birth!
Cellino who has taken some strange decisions in said that Kenny who is considered a key player after having joined the club from QPR in 2012 in a deal worth £500,000 was born on May 17th..
According to reports, Cellino believes that 17 is a very unlucky number and doesn’t want Kenny ruining the team’s vibes next season.
Elland Road has not given any other reason for the decision but many believe that the real reason for the decision is to cut cost as the Keeper is one of the club’s top earners with a take pay cheque of £10,000-a-week.
