#Lagos@50:Wakaa wows guests as 50 days celebration begins with a bang

The Lagos at 50 celebration hit a very high note on Saturday, April 8th with the beginning of the power-packed 50 days of celebration.

Earlier in the day Lagosians were held spell bound with the surp

rise appearance of the Three Wise Men of Lagos(remember the Three white  cap statues that greet you as you enter Lagos from the Lagos -Ibadan Expressway?).Decked appropriately  in all white outfits they were spotted in different parts of town, spreading love amongst residents and also showering them with gifts.

Then in the evening, attention shifted to Terra Kulture, Victoria Island Lagos where a spectacular  presentation of Wakaa, The Musical unfolded! There was astar  cast which included Bimbo Manuel, Dolapo Oni and Ade Laoye. The political  satire cum romantic comedy was lively with engaging twists, turns and intrigues.

At the end, everyone including the Deputy  Governor of Lagos, Mrs Idiat Oluranti Adebule who represented Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Wasis Esinlokun-Sanni, Commisioner of Information & Strategy, Mr Steve Ayorinde, Hon. Hakeem Fasinro, Vice Chairman, Lagos  at 50 Committee and other prominent  Lagosians in attendance applauded  Bolanle Austin-Peters , the cast and crew for a sterling performance.

Earlier in her welcome address, Mrs Bolanle Austin-Peters,  CEO of Terra Kulture said she was elated that her facility was chosen to kick start  the  50-day celebration of Lagos@50.

She was full of thanks to the Lagos State Government for the support, revealing that her outfit and government  were partnering  to build six new theatres  accross the state which she noted will positively  engage and employ  youths,

In his address read by Mrs Adebule,  Governor. Ambode promised that Lagos State will continue to present opportunities for everyone to thrive and be successful

“We will not stop to provide support and needed infrastructure for privately-owned businesses such as Terra Kulture

“Our administration identifies with Bolanle Austen Peters of Terra Kulture as part success stories that abounds in Lagos”-

“We will use this celebration to further explore the untapped potentials in the State for the overall development and prosperity of Lagos”

“This celebration did not only present a unique opportunity to celebrate but to also showcase the potentials awaiting to be tapped”
