Keshi Dumps The Super Eagles

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has agreed a two-year contract to handle South Africa after the World Cup as several top European coaches have indicated interest to lead the Super Eagles.

Keshi’s future has not been clear even though he still has a year left on his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The coach himself recently revealed that he has at least six offers on the table.

However, according to sources, Keshi will jet out from Brazil directly to Johannesburg to sign a two-year deal with the South Africa Football Federation (SAFA) immediately after the World Cup.

“I can confirm to you that the deal between Keshi and SAFA has been signed and sealed,” said one of the sources.

“He is going to South Africa immediately after the World Cup.

“The South Africans are impressed with what he has done with the Eagles and want him to turn around the fortunes of Bafana Bafana.”

The sources further reported that no fewer than 10 top European coaches have indicated interest to replace Keshi at the helm of the Eagles.

‘Big Boss’ Keshi led Nigeria to win a third Africa Cup of Nations title last year in South Africa.

He also qualified Nigeria to the 2014 World Cup after he did same with little Togo for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

He made history on Sunday, when he led the Eagles to end a 16-year run without a win at the World Cup courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina.
