Like a man of action that he is, Governor Amosun and members of the State Executive visited the work site at about 9pm two days ago, and despite the time, the road was still blocked. He went to the workers to encourage and told some commuters who were around that all he is putting in place was a palliative and that he is going to initiate talks with the Federal Government to find a permanent solution.

Governor Amosun revealed that the rehabilitation work will be mostly done at night from 8pm to 6am, whille skeletal work would be done during the day. He stated that the project will last for one month and urged commuters to exercise some patience when plying the route.

Describing the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway as the most important road in Nigeria, Governor Amosun said  the APC would make the overhauling of the road a priority because of its significance to the economy and the livelihood of many Nigerians.
