FA charges Chelsea Manager, Jose Mourinho with misconduct

Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho has been charged with misconduct by the FA following comments made after Saturday’s defeat to Southampton.
Speaking to Sky Sport after his Chelsea side lost 1-3 at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho fired a seven-minute long response berating referees, the far and the player’s lack of confidence for the embarrassing loss/
In his explanation, the Mourinho insisted that ‘referees are afraid to give decisions for Chelsea’, before inviting the FA to charge him ‘should they want to’.
“I think it’s time to be a little bit honest and to say clearly the referees are afraid to give decisions for Chelsea,” he said.
“The result was 1-1 when it was a huge penalty, and, once more, we didn’t get one.”And the penalty was a crucial moment in the game with the result 1-1.”
“And, I repeat, if the FA wants to punish me, they can punish me. They don’t punish other managers, they punish me, but it’s not a problem for me.
Mourinho has been given until 6pm on Thursday to respond to the charge, and a statement on the FA’s website read: “Jose Mourinho has been charged for misconduct in relation to media comments he made following Chelsea’s game against Southampton on Saturday 3 October 2015.”
“It is alleged his remarks constitute improper conduct in that they allege and/or imply bias on the part of a match official or match officials and/or bring the game into disrepute.
The announcement comes hours after Chelsea sent out a statement declaring their full support for the Manager from the Club’s Board. According to the story on the club website

The club wants to make it clear that Jose continues to have our full support.

“As Jose has said himself, results have not been good enough and the team’s performances must improve. However, we believe that we have the right manager to turn this season around and that he has the squad with which to do it.”

Saturday’s defeat was Chelsea’s fourth in the Premier League already this season, with the reigning champions sitting just four points above the relegation places after eight matches.
