EFCC detains Ex Presidential Spokesman, Reuben Abati & Ex-Minister, Bala Mohammed

Former presidential spokesperson to Nigeria’s former President Goodluck Jonathan,Dr. Reuben Abati and former FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed have been arrested by the Economic & Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Abati was arrested on Monday afternoon and late last night he was still being interrogated as well as weitinh his statement. The same scenario has unfolded in the Mohammed’s situation.

Abati is being questioned for allegedly receiving some money from former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, EFCC it was gathered.

Dasuki is currently being tried by the EFCC for his management of arms funds under him , in what is now known as #Dasukigate.

With Abati and Mohammed’s arrest, at least five former aides of Mr. Jonathan are now currently in EFCC custody.

A former Minister of State for Defence and High Commissioner to Ghana, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, is still with the EFCC since last week Monday when he voluntarily surrendered himself after staying months away from the country.

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Jonathan campaign spokesperson, was arrested on Friday and is still being detained by the commission.
