42 ships with petroleum products, foods arrive Lagos ports

Forty two ships are expected to arrive with containers, general cargo, foods, petroleum products and vehicles at the Lagos ports from Feb. 24 to March 25.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) made this known on Wednesday in its daily publication – Shipping Position – made available to newsmen in Lagos.

It said that 22 of the ships would arrive with containers, while general cargo would arrive in eight ships.

The authority said that seven ships would sail in with foods such as fish, rice, bulk sugar, bulk salt and buckwheat.

According to the NPA, four ships will come into the ports with base oil, petrol and bulk gas, while a ship would sail in with vehicles.

It said that nine other ships had arrived at the ports, waiting to berth.

The NPA said that five of the ships arrived with rice and fertiliser, while four sailed in with petrol.
